Slogan, logo and brand name are three elements that identify your brand. Slogan is a memorable phrase, a battle cry that sums up your company's benefits and image. Slogan should be placed near the company logo. Brand names are rarely changed, whereas logos and taglines often change over time as a company evolves. Ideally, taglines should be designed for future expansion.
Good slogans:
- Communicate the biggest benefit that your product provides
- Are simple and memorable
- Use active voice, with the adverb near the verb for more impact
- Differentiate your brand
- Link your slogan to your brand name
- Are design for future expansion
- Prime your desired attributes
Some memorable taglines:
- "Got milk?" (California Milk Processing Board)
- Save money. Live better. (Wal-Mart)
- Everybody wins. (Dealfind)
